Dr Jaroslav Gottfried is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Discipline of Occupational Therapy, Trinity College Dublin. He holds a PhD in General Psychology, Masaryk University, Czech Republic. He is skilled in research methodology, quantitative analysis and psychometrics, and acted as Tutor and Guest Lecturer in multiple Methods & Stats modules. His PhD project focused on preventing and detecting careless responses in survey research. Dr Gottfried's previous research focused on various topics within health psychology - depression assessment, later-life partnerships, or sociocultural disadvantage screenings for primary-school children.

Prior to joining CanWork, Dr Gottfried worked as Post-Doctoral Researcher at School of Psychology, University College Dublin, studying underlying connections between Type 2 diabetes and depressive symptoms. He is passionate about employing scientific rigor to enhance the reliability of research findings, and about translating theoretical knowledge to practical use.
