Lauren McGuane
Lauren McGuane is a Research Assistant in the Discipline of Occupational Therapy at Trinity College Dublin, working on the CanWork study, which supports women return to work post breast cancer.
She holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Galway. Her master's research, conducted in collaboration with CRY Ireland, explored multi-stakeholder perspectives on optimal community-based social supports for individuals impacted by sudden cardiac death and inherited cardiac disorders. She has also contributed to qualitative research examining how university students conceptualise sexual consent.
In addition to her research experience, Lauren has worked in a clinical role within homelessness services, supporting individuals in their transition to stable accommodation.
This combination of research and frontline experience informs her person-centred and applied approach to her work on the CanWork study.
